Let’s start by saying that 2022 is going to be a better year. Many experienced some great personal losses in 2020 and 2021, and we hold all of them in our collective hearts. In the events industry, we experienced pauses and resets of every kind. But at Philadelphia wedding venue ONE North Broad, we were able to evolve and creatively “grow with the flow,” with many thanks to our incredible clients who chose to take the ride with us.

Our modus operandi in 2020 was to take all the “lemons,” or bad things we were given, and turn them into “lemonade.” That then led to our 2021 mantra of turning the lemons into a more upscale “limoncello,” because limoncello is for parties, and parties are what we do! (Credit for the inspiration goes to our brides Elina, who coined the phrase “lemonade into limoncello,” and Francesca, who bottled the lemon-flavored Italian liqueur as a wedding favor.)

The previous two years taught us how to reset, reprioritize, and rethink how to do weddings differently. We found creative ways for our couples to wed, despite physical distancing requirements and the inability to celebrate with food and beverage. Some of our sweetest “limoncello” moments were our elopements — beautiful, intimate ceremonies with receptions planned for later dates.

Whether it was a small in-person wedding, a livestreamed wedding or a rescheduled wedding, we delivered the “limoncello” our couples wanted and deserved. We helped make lifelong memories, with romantic stories our couples can tell their children about how they got married in an unconventional — yet very special — way.

Cheers to 2022! We will continue making limoncello by adapting and creating magical moments regardless of what the new year brings. Contact us at ONE North Broad today to book your 2022 wedding.
